LASER EPILATION and TYPES

Hello everybody! Today we will talk about the applications and types of laser epilation that are popular with the coming of winter months.

Most important point at laser epilation, which works with non-ionized light technology, is to make the hair roots more destructive by applying during the growthing period. The growth phase of the hair is the Anagen phase and the laser is most effective in this period. The Catagen phase, which the growth stops, and the Telogen phase, which does not grow and remain stationary, have lower laser response. In addition, the thick and dark terminal hairs for example hair, beard, pubic area and armpit, hairs in the legs are more suitable to respond to the laser, instead of thin, invisible and light colored, all-body vellus type hairs.

As you know, laser couldn’t applied summer caused by stop formation. Skin and hair type and color are very important for laser application in winter months. There are mainly three types of laser epilating devices with different types and different results in output color. Let's look at them all together, which is appropriate for them.

1)    DIODE LASER: The main aim of the diode laser type with 810 nm wavelength is to reduce hair, it is effective on thin and weak hair structure. Thanks to its long wavelength, it can also work in dark skin color. The field results from other lasers are successful, especially due to deeper landing in the face area. However, the penetration performance to the deeper roots is very poor. It is applied by contact with the skin, before the cooling gel is applied to the application area. Skin contact can lead to hygienic problems.

2)    ALEXANDRITE LASER: The Alexandrite laser of 755 wavelength is much more suitable for light skin color than other lasers. After the seance, the person is satisfied because the hair is pushed immediately. However, it is not recommended because it can increase the feathers on very thin hairy face and neck areas. The performance could be partially reduced in thin and light hairs, and in deep rooted hair roots. The most commonly used type of laser is the Alexandrite lasers.

3)    ND YAG LASER: Due to the wavelength of 1064 nm, it can be very deep penetration. It can be used up to 7 mm hair roots. This rare type of laser is now effective even in very dark skin color, but it is more painful than other lasers. It has less melanin sensitive, targets the blood stream to the hair roots, that is, it affects the winter roots, not the pigments. It is also the type of laser used to treat stains and acne scars. It is the only laser that can be applied without expecting to open the bronze skin color in the summer months.

In addition, IPL (Intense Pulse Light) technology, also known as Light-based Epilation, is a method that attenuates the hair follicle by giving light beams, but it is not a laser and can not precisely prevent hair formation. The radiofrequency method weakens the hair follicles by sound waves and does not have the ability to prevent the formation of new hair.

First of all, we recommend laser epilation for your skin health, especially under the supervision of a medical doctor. In most places, especially in beauty salons, IPL type devices are used which are called as poor quality clones. In case of a side effect that does not work or possible side effect , it is much more beneficial to use laser in the hospital environment because the person who should be advised is a physician. Implementation is very important for experienced and certified persons. You should also make sure that you have an appropriate analysis of your own skin and hair type and you can prevent side effects that may be present. Hygiene conditions are very important according to the region to be made.

The most important point in laser epilation is continuity, and if you go regularly, you will really benefit. Rapid shedding after the first seances can be deceptive, so you should not interrupt the seance.

You can use non-perfumed, non-allergic skin lotions, which will not disturb your skin after laser, in consultation with a dermatologist. If you are going to laser for the face area, you should definitely apply sunscreen in summer and winter, the cream protects you from UVA and UVB, and even in the winter months it falls on the earth.

We hope our post has become useful. See you next time!
